Manager Mauricio Pochettino is believed to be keen on signing another central defender before the conclusion of the transfer window on September 1.

The Mirror claims that Spurs have turned their attention to Fazio, following their failure to seal a deal for Villareal's Mateo Musacchio.

In addition to this, the North London outfit are willing to meet the player's release clause of £8m.

Spurs have already added the likes of Eric Dier and Ben Davies to their defensive options this summer.
