Colombian striker Radamel Falcao has sealed a season long loan transfer to Manchester United. The Red Devils have the option to make a transfer permanent for 55 million euros at the end of this season.
Falcao had been linked with a transfer to Real Madrid, but after the Spanish club decided to sign Javier Hernandez, United were swiftly made favourites to sign Falcao from Monaco.
Louis van Gaal's team of advisors were quick to broker a deal for the striker and Falcao flew in to Manchester this afternoon to discuss a deal. United will pay his salary for the duration of the dela.
The former Porto striker will play alongside both Robin van Persie and Wayne Rooney in a new look forward line at Old Trafford.
