Chelsea are reportedly set to offer a contract extension to defender John Terry, according to The Mirror.

Terry will be a free-agent at the end of the season, and there have been speculation in the media linking him with a switch to the MLS.

However, the former England international has revealed of his desire to stay with the West London outfit beyond the current season.

A report from The Mirror suggests that manager Jose Mourinho could offer a one-year extension to the legendary defender in the next few days.

Terry has made 630 appearances for the Blues in his career so far.
