Arsenal eye move for Asier Illarramendi

02 November 2014 - 03:09

Arsenal are believed to be tracking the situation of Real Madrid's out-of-favour midfielder Asier Illarramendi, The Express reports.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The talented Spaniard joined the European champions from Real Sociedad in the summer of 2013, and has since made 61 appearances for the club in all competitions.

However, Illarramendi has failed to earn sufficient game-time in La Liga this season, following the arrival of the likes of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos at the Bernabeu.

According to The Express, the Gunners could make a move for the former Spain Under-23 international, should they fail in their pursuit of fellow team-mate Sami Khedira in the winter transfer window.

Arsenal are currently fourth in the Premier League.
