Stoke City are in the race to sign out of favour Swiss winger Xherdan Shaqiri from Bayern Munich. The 23 year old is ready to quit Germany in search of regular first team action.
Stoke are sure to have competition for the winger's coveted signing though as several other teams have expressed interest, including Italian giants Roma. The Swiss star is currently out of favour as the likes of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben are preferred by coach Pep Guardiola. Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has confirmed that his club are interested in a deal.
