England international winger Andros Townsend has refuted suggestions that he could make a move away from Tottenham this month. The player has been linked with a host of other teams after reports that Townsend is unhappy with a lack of playing time.
The White Hart Lane side have preferred to play Nacer Chadli and Erik Lamela behind Harry Kane in recent games, leaving Townsend somewhat limited to a bench role.
However, despite suggestions the player would leave Spurs, Townsend insists he will be staying put: "The club want me here and I want to be here, so that’s all I can say at the minute. I am a Spurs boy. I've been at the club since the age of eight so as long as I'm in the team, as I have been over the last few weeks, I’m not looking to go anywhere."
