Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal has indicated that David De Gea will be offered a new contract. There had been some suggestion that the signing of Victor Valdes could be a hint that de Gea would be heading back to his home country.
An impressive season for De Gea has seen the young Spaniard linked with a move to Real Madrid, where he would become the long term replacement for Iker Casillas.
However, Louis van Gaal has told reporters that there is no chance of a move away from the keeper: "I think so, yes. There is no problem for him to sign."
Victor Valdes signed an 18 month deal at United yesterday.
