Arsenal make new bid for Marcelo Brozovic

15 January 2015 - 00:42

Dinamo Zagreb midfielder Marcelo Brozovic is a transfer target for Arsenal in the January transfer window and the Gunners are ready to pay around £5 million to land the player.

  • The Gunners have been under pressure to find a new defensive midfielder and Arsene Wenger appears to have decided on Brozovic as the best available player for the role. With club captain Mikel Arteta out injured and not seen as a long term solution for the holding role, Arsenal have switched their attentions to making a permanent move for Brozovic.

The 22-year-old, who has six caps for Croatia and was a part of his country's squad for the World Cup in Brazil, has over four years remaining on his contract but is desperate to make a move to a top European side.

Arsenal are confident that a deal can be agreed before the end of the transfer window.
