Premier League leaders Chelsea are considering an offer out-of-favour Real Madrid midfielder Luka Modric in January.
The Croatian international has struggled to cement his place in the first-team this season, following the arrival of the likes of James Rodriguez and Toni Kroos over the summer.
According to The Express, Chelsea alongside Manchester United are interested in signing up the former Spurs man who could be offloaded for an affordable fee during the winter transfer window.
The reports adds that Modric is keen on a move back to the Premier League, and considers a reunion with former boss Jose Mourinho as one of preferable options.
