The German international is high on the radar of Louis van Gaal, and the Mail claims that the Dutchman is prepared to make a bid of around £37m in the next 24 hours for the player\'s services.

Hummels had earlier insisted that he would remain at BVB until the end of the campaign.

However, the World Cup winner could be lured into a switch to Old Trafford having seen his club drop to the bottom of the Bundesliga.
