Didier Drogba has opened contract talks with Chelsea. The Ivorian international will be out of contract on July 1st and the Blues have decided to offer the striker a new deal.

Drogba has been deployed as second choice striker to Diego Costa this season for the newly crowned Premier League champions and Jose Mourinho has been locked in discussions with Roman Abramovich regarding a new deal for Drogba. The Ivory Coast international helped the Blues to their fourth Premier League title; their third under Jose Mourinho.
