Carlo Ancelotti is believed to have signed a non-binding pre-contract with Manchester City, according to a report.

The Citizens have stuck with Manuel Pellegrini for the season, in spite of his failure to deliver a trophy for the club.

However, Sport Mediaset claims that Pellegrini could face the axe at the end of the season, with Ancelotti understood to have a pre-agreement to join the Citizens.

It is added that Ancelotti will leave the outgoing European champions, should he feel a lack of cooperation from the club's hierarchy this summer.
