Liverpool are inching closer to the signing of one of Europe's most decorated midfielders.
Italy international Andrea Pirlo has revealed of his desire to leave Juventus, following their Champions League final against Barcelona in Berlin next month.
Reports in Italy claim that Pirlo is keen on a fresh challenge away from Serie A, before calling quits to his playing career.
The Reds are regarded as front-runners to sign up the veteran midfielder, with Brendan Rodgers keen on signing a replacement for outbound star Steven Gerrard.
Pirlo has made 31 appearances for Juve this season.
