Wigan linked with Khalili

27 December 2007 - 18:34

Wigan, Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg have all been linked with Iranian striker Mohsen Khalili, who currently plays for Persepolis FC in his homeland. He continues to impress since joining last year, and the striker has bagged several goals this season.

  • Chelsea tipped to make shock move for Marcus Rashford
  • Man Utd believe they can sign Bournemouth star for £64m
  • Since arriving from Iranian rivals Saipa F.C., he has gone from strength to strength. Khalili partnered Ali Daei in the Saipa strike force in 2006, and was second only to his teammate in the goalscoring charts.

Iranian footballers often try their hand in the Bundesliga, and Bayern Munich and Wolfsburg have both offered over 1 million Euros to secure his signature, but is believed that Steve Bruce is weighing up a move for the attacker.

Mohsen Khalili, 27, may move into the European leagues as soon as January.
