Borussia Dortmund sporting director Michael Zorc has insisted that the club will not offload defender Neven Subotic midway through their league campaign.
The Serbian international has struggled for game-time this campaign, with new boss Thomas Tuchel preferring to partner Mats Hummels with Sokratis Papastathopoulos in the heart of the defence.
Reds manager Jurgen Klopp has recently been linked with a raid for his former player, but Zorc admits that the 26-year-old remains part of the club's plans for the season.
"We are still playing the first half of the season and we are not thinking about letting him go, but naturally we will discuss his situation," he told reporters.
Subotic has made just two appearances in all competitions for BVB this term.
