Pep Guardiola has reportedly instructed Manchester City officials to pursue a summer deal for Juventus hotshot Paul Pogba. The France international, who has also caught the eye of Chelsea, is understood to be eyeing a fresh challenge at the end of the season.
City recently revealed via an official statement that Guardiola would take over the reigns from Manuel Pellegrini once the current season comes to a close.
According to The Mail, the Spaniard is eager to build up the squad before his arrival in the summer. It is added that the Citizens would be willing to pay in excess of £80m to beat the likes of Barcelona and Chelsea to the player's signature.
Pogba has amassed over 150 appearances for Juve following his move from Manchester United in January 2012.
