Southampton to open Koeman talks

Southampton are set to discuss a new deal with manager Ronald Koeman amid interest from top European clubs. The Dutchman was appointed as the Saints' head coach last summer after Mauricio Pochettino decided to link up with Tottenham Hotspur.

  • Since then, the 53-year-old has brought in the likes of Graziano Pelle, Dusan Tadic, and Sadio Mane, who have kept the club aloft in the top half of the Premier League.

    A report from The Mirror suggests that the South Coast outfit will begin negotiations with Koeman over a new contract following rumoured interest from some of Europe's top sides including Chelsea and Inter Milan.

    Koeman has one year left on his existing deal at St.Mary's.
