Arsenal are eager to bring Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge to the Emirates this summer. The England international has been in-and-out of the starting lineup since his return to full fitness.

  • Bournemouth close to signing Chelsea defender?

  • Sturridge, 25, has been the subject of speculation in recent weeks with manager Jurgen Klopp reluctant to offer him a regular start.

Widespread sources reveal that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is keen on signing a marquee striker in a bid to end the club's long wait for the league title next season.

Adding to this, Sturridge is the leading name in the shortlist and the Gunners are ready to pay as much as £30m for his services.

Sturridge has recently hinted that he is content at Merseyside despite his lack of playing time.
