Man Utd make Nemanja Matic approach

Manchester United have enquired over the availability of Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic during this summer's transfer window. The Serbian struggled to firm a regular role under interim boss Guus Hiddink in the second half of last season.

Matic, 27, rejoined the Blues from Benfica in January 2014, having previously played his trade for them in 2011.

Gianlucadimarzio.com suggests that the Serbian is mulling over his future at Stamford Bridge with new Blues head coach Antonio Conte keen on recruiting AS Roma's Radja Nainggolan ahead of the new season.

It is added that United have already approach for Matic's signature, and will have the first option, should the player decide to pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere.

The combative midfielder was a main part of Jose Mourinho's Chelsea side that won the 2014/15 Premier League title.
