Juventus striker Alvaro Morata is ready to snub Chelsea for a move to Manchester United, provided Zlatan Ibrahimovic does not sign for the Red Devils. The Spaniard has been strongly linked with a Premier League switch with interest high among the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea, and Manchester United.
Spanish outlet Ondo Cero suggests that the 23-year-old is open to linking up with former boss Jose Mourinho at Old Trafford this summer following a frustrating season at the Old Lady that saw him play second fiddle to Paulo Dybala for the centre-forward role.
However, the proposed deal will go through only if the Mancunian giants opt against the signing of free-agent Ibrahimovic.
Morata is fearful that the arrival of Ibrahimovic would dent his chances of earning regular playing time at the Theatre of Dreams.
Nevertheless, United would have to negotiate a hefty price with former club Real Madrid set to sell the striker for a profit once they trigger the £23.4m buy-back clause on his Juventus contract.
