Liverpool have secured the signature of Senegalese winger Sadio Mane from Southampton on a five-year contract. The transfer fee has yet to be disclosed.
The 24-year-old makes his way to Anfield following two seasons with the Saints where he netted 25 goals in all competitions.
"Today is a big day and I am very happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in Europe," Mane told Liverpool's official website.
"It's a club that has won a lot of trophies and has a big history. Now I am looking forward to meeting all the staff and my teammates and starting the season."
Mane had been previously on the radar of Manchester United and Bayern Munich, but ultimately the Reds were given a clear route to land his services.
The Senegal international is the fifth player to switch the South Coast outfit for Merseyside with the previous being Adam Lallana, Dejan Lovren, Nathaniel Clyne and Rickie Lambert (presently at West Bromwich Albion).
Liverpool have offered the number 19 shirt to the pacey attacker.
