West Ham United's quest for a new striker continues with the Premier League club set to swoop for AC Milan's Carlos Bacca, according to reports.
The Daily Mail claims that, having been unsuccessful in approaches for Lyon's Alexandre Lacazette and Michy Batshuayi before the Belgian joined Chelsea, the Hammer will now turn their attention to AC Milan's Carlos Bacca.
The Colombian signed for the Rossoneri from Sevilla last summer and became their top scorer last season, netting 18 goals in 38 Serie A appearances.
But it now appears that the former Club Brugge player could be on the move again during the transfer window.
The Daily Mail's report states that West Ham have opened talks with the player and are willing to pay up to £20 million to bring the 29-year-old to the Olympic Stadium, despite Bacca supposedly having a £24,5 million release clause in his contract with the Italian club.
Milan are thought to be open to willing to part ways with the 33-cap Colombia international if the right offer is received.
In addition to being knocked back in their approaches for Lacazatte and Batshuayi, West Ham were also priced out of a move for former striker Carlos Tevez, with co-owner Davis Sullivan admitting that the club offered the Boca Juniors player wages of £150,000 per week to return to the club, only for the 32-year-old to demand a weekly wage of £250,000.
