Valencia are likely to demand a &pound20m fee for Shkodran Mustafi amid interest from Arsenal. The 25-year-old has emerged as a transfer target for the Gunners after Per Mertesacker was ruled out with a long-term injury.

Mustafi joined Los Che from Schalke 04 in 2014, and has since racked over 70 appearances in all competitions.

Arsene Wenger's side will be without the services of Per Mertesacker and Laurent Koscielny for the Premier League opener, and this has put the team in jeopardy.
