Manchester City could be closing in on the signing of 20-year-old German winger Leroy Sané, according to reports in Germany.
German newspaper Bild is reporting that Schalke 04 winger Leroy Sané has arrived at training early this morning, sparking speculation that he could be there to say his goodbyes to team-mates ahead of a mooted switch to Manchester City.
The Citizens have been interested in Sané for some time, and are thought to be preparing a mammoth £42 million offer for the young Germany international.
Sané enjoyed a breakout campaign in the Bundesliga last season, scoring eight goals and registering six assists in 33 appearances for the Gelsenkirchen club.
City are also thought to be close to signing 19-year-old Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus from Palmeiras for a fee in the region of £32 million.
The young forward has earned rave reviews for his performances in Brazil of late, and has scored four goals in five under-23 appearances for the national side.
In addition to moves for these two young forwards, City are also reportedly nearing the capture of England defender John Stones from Everton, with the Manchester club ready to pay £40 million for the former Barnsley defender, although Everton are holding out for a British record £50 million fee.
City have already secured the signatures of Ilkay Gundogan, Alexandr Zinchenko and Nolito this summer, as Guardiola re-shapes the squad he inherited from Manuel Pellegrini.
