Manchester United are unlikely to listen to offers from Arsenal for unsettled defender Phil Jones. Jose Mourinho has assured the player that he has a future at Old Trafford.
Jones, still 24, has emerged as a surprise target for the Gunners, who are in dire need of a new centre-half after the first-team pairing of Gabriel and Per Mertesacker were ruled out through injury.
The Telegraph reports that the Red Devils will turn down bids for the defender with the Special One open to grooming the player into the mould of Chelsea great 'John Terry'.
Stoke City, managed by former United man Mark Hughes, have also been keeping tabs on the player's situation this month.
The England international joined the Red Devils from Blackburn Rovers on 2011, and has since racked 141 appearances in all competitions. He was once tipped to become United's best ever player under former boss Sir Alex Ferguson.
