Real Madrid are prepared to offload midfielder Isco in the winter transfer window. The Spain international was the subject of an approach from Tottenham Hotspur on deadline day but he opted to stay put at the Bernabeu.

  • According to Sport, Isco has decided to leave the European champions in the New Year after he was left out Real Madrid's Champions League squad for the game against Sporting Lisbon.

The playmaker was initially thought to have been rested due to a minor injury, but it is now revealed that Zidane did not want his influence on his substitutes' bench.

The likes of Mateo Kovacic and James Rodriguez are currently ahead of Isco in the pecking order, and it seems the former Malaga man will be allowed to choose his desired move in January.

Arsenal and Chelsea have been previously credited with interest for the 24-year-old, but it is Tottenham Hotspur, who are the likely candidates to pursue his services in the future.
