Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is among a three-man shortlist put up by the Football Association to succeed Sam Allardyce as the new England boss.
The Three Lions are on the search for a new head coach after Allardyce was released by mutual consent for his remarks about bending FA rules on third party ownership.
According to The Mirror, Howe is in contention for the vacancy alongside caretaker Gareth Southgate and Arsenal's long-standing coach Arsene Wenger.
The 38-year-old has transformed the Cherries over the years having brought them from a lowly League One outfit to a Premier League side, who punched above their weight last season.
And this seems to have captured the attention of the Football Association, who are looking to resolve their managerial crisis following an embarrassing week that has seen them become the 'laughing stock' of world football.
Arsene Wenger still remains the number one choice for the Three Lions' job, but he is unlikely to consider the offer until he resolves his future at the Emirates.
