Man Utd stance on signing Aurelien Tchouameni revealed

31 July 2026 - 19:59

Manchester United have a clear stance on signing Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni this summer.

  • Liverpool want to sign former Chelsea defender
  • Chelsea set to sell defender for £26m

  • The Red Devils have already recruited Andrey Santos and Youri Tielemans, but they are still keen on landing a marquee defensive midfielder.

Tchouameni has also been linked heavily with the Mancunian giants, but the club have no plans to make an approach for the Frenchman.

While Madrid are open to parting ways with the former Monaco man, United believe they are no longer in a position to afford his services.

With the current inflated nature of the transfer window, United feel Tchouameni could be valued at more than £100m or more by Los Blancos.

Hence, there are no plans to pursue a deal for the 2026 World Cup semi-finalist, and the focus could be on landing a cost-effective signing.

Fulham's Sander Berge could be a solution for the Red Devils. He has been on the radar of the Mancunian giants for the past couple of years.
