Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has insisted that Theo Walcott was never in danger of leaving Arsenal in the summer. The England international had a reduced role at the Emirates last season.
Walcott, 27, was no more than a back-up player last term with the likes of Alex Iwobi and Joel Campbell being given equal opportunities in the first-team.
However, he has redeemed himself during the ongoing campaign having already matched his goalscoring tally from the 2015/16 league season.
Speaking ahead of his side's Champions League tie against Ludogorets, Wenger revealed he had no thoughts of letting go of the Englishman in the previous transfer window.
He added that the former Southampton graduate has come with a renewed vigour this season, and has more freedom with his movement on the pitch.
Walcott will look to keep up his rich vein of form when his side take on a less familiar side in Ludogorets on Wednesday night.
