German international Mesut Ozil has apparently reached an agreement over a contract extension at the Emirates.
The 28-year-old was initially reluctant to hold discussions with Arsenal as they were far off from his demands of a £250,000-a-week contract.
According to The Mirror, the playmaker has finalized contractual terms with the North London outfit after they agreed to make him the highest earner on wages worth £200,000 per week.
The World Cup has previously emphasized that he is content with his current employers, and will now put pen to paper on a fresh deal once the necessary paperwork is produced.
Meanwhile, Arsene Wenger's side are still in negotiations over an improved contract with Alexis Sanchez, who is being closely tracked by Juventus.
Ozil, who is currently on a £140,000 weekly package, is the club's record signing having arrived from Real Madrid for £42.5m in 2013.
