Man Utd eye future move for Alaba

Man Utd monitor David Alaba

20 November 2016 - 18:37

Manchester United have been monitoring the performances of Bayern Munich star David Alaba with a view to a future move for his services. The Austrian international was a transfer target for Real Madrid in the summer.

  • Chelsea want to sign Lyon star to replace Jadon Sancho
  • Arsenal want to bring Aymeric Laporte back to England

  • According to The Mirror, manager Jose Mourinho had sent scouts to keep a close track on the left-back during the international break.

Alaba, who is also adept playing in the holding midfield position, is being lined up a possible replacement for Morgan Schneiderlin.

The 24-year-old has been a mainstay at Bayern Munich over the years, and it is believed that United would have to cough up a £60m plus fee, if they are to pursue his signature next summer.

European champions Real Madrid could also return for the versatile player, should their transfer ban be lifted.
