Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho is reportedly eyeing a deal for Chelsea midfielder Nemanja Matic. The Serb has been a key figure in the Blues' title hunt this season.
According to The Mirror, the Special One is keen on a reunion with his former player as he seeks to bolster his midfield further this term.
The Red Devils currently have a £20m plus kitty from the sale of Morgan Schneiderlin to Everton, and Matic has been prioritised as the ideal fit to bolster the squad.
It is also added that the club are on the search for an effective replacement for Michael Carrick, who is approaching the final years of his professional career.
Nevertheless, Manchester United may have to wait until to negotiate a transfer with Chelsea head coach Antonio Conte unlikely to allow any more exits from Stamford Bridge.
The league leaders have already sold out key players in Mikel John Obi and Oscar to Chinese Super League clubs this month.
