Everton snub AC Milan's loan bid for Deulofeu

Everton have reportedly turned down a loan attempt from AC Milan for midfielder Gerard Deulofeu. The Spaniard has had a tough spell under Ronald Koeman.

  • Deulofeu has made just four starts in the top flight this season, and there have been suggestions he could pursue a fresh challenge in the winter transfer window.

The Rossoneri have recently made a loan attempt for the former La Masia student, but their advances have been knocked back by Koeman, who is reluctant to lose the player for the campaign.

Both Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Yannick Bolasie are currently sidelined through injury, and this sees the club short of options in the attacking department.

Nevertheless, the Guardian reports that the Toffees would be willing to sell, should the Milan giants come up with an offer in excess of £15m.

Deulofeu rejoined Everton from Barcelona on a permanent basis in 2015, and has since netted just two goals in all competitions.
