Turkish attacker dismisses Chelsea speculation

07 February 2017 - 06:05

Bayer Leverkusen ace Hakan Calhanoglu has insisted that he made no comments regarding a potential move to Stamford Bridge. The Turkey international is not craving for a summer exit despite receiving a four-month FIFA ban.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • A report from Fanatik recently quoted the player as saying that he could complete a move to west London at the end of the campaign.

However, Calhanoglu has now revealed via twitter that he had not spoken to any Turkish journalist over his ongoing problems including his links with Chelsea.

"I said nothing about Chelsea in the press & didn't talk to any Turkish journalist - neither about the court decision nor about my future!" he tweeted on his official account.

The former Hamburger SV man has been suspended from the field of play for the campaign after he was found to have breached a contractual agreement with Turkish club Trabzonspor while at Karlsruhe in 2011.
