Chilwell, 20, has failed to emerge as a regular at the King Power Stadium despite the Foxes ongoing struggles, and he is said to have stayed put only due to the presence of Ranieri.

The Express claims that the Reds are keeping tabs on their longtime target, and they will seek to take advantage of the managerial uncertainty in order to acquire his signature in the summer.

Jurgen Klopp has utilised the services of James Milner in the left-back position this term, but he is still said to want a specialist with backup Alberto Moreno likely to be offloaded.

Chilwell has earned just three league starts with Premier League holders this season, and he is likely to demand an extended role if he is to join Liverpool during the next transfer window.
