Arsene Wenger wants to sign Barcelona attacker

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger could reportedly stay at the Emirates next season with a move for Barcelona's Rafinha on his shortlist, Don Balon claims.

  • Wenger's current deal is due to expire in the summer, but it appears more and more that he will stay amid a whole bunch of playing including Florian Lejeune being monitored under his guidance.

Don Balon suggests that the Gunners are keeping tabs on Rafinha, who has had limited playing with the La Liga holders over the years.

Rafinha, who is the younger sibling of Bayern's Thiago, has made just 46 appearances for Barcelona since his debut in 2011, and he is prepared to move on to a fresh club in the summer.

The 24-year-old has the versatility to play anywhere in the midfield while he has also been deployed on the right side of the defence on occasions by Luis Enrique.

Arsenal will not be alone in the pursuit of the Brazil international with the likes of Juventus, Real Madrid and Borussia Dortmund also monitoring Rafinha's situation.
