Manchester United will reportedly go on a transfer tussle with Chelsea to secure the signature of Everton striker Romelu Lukaku.
The Belgian international has been in fine touch for the Merseyside outfit this campaign, and his tally of 21 goals in the top flight has propelled them to seventh in the league standings with 50 points - level with Arsenal who have two games in hand.
According to The Express, both United and the Blues will vie for the Belgium marksman, who has turned down a fresh contract at Goodison Park.
Lukaku had been offered a package in excess of £140,000-a-week to commit his future to Ronald Koeman's side, but he is prepared to move on in the quest to attain trophies.
Former club Chelsea are understood to be lining up a move for Lukaku amid the uncertainty over the future of Diego Costa beyond the current campaign.
Meanwhile, United are on the search for a potential replacement for veteran Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who at best can stay for another season with the Old Trafford outfit.
Lukaku, who became Everton's highest Premier League goalscorer of all time, could leave for a sum of around £70m during the summer transfer window.
