Things have changed massively for Daniel Sturridge at Anfield recently. A key player in their Premier League challenge under Brendan Rodgers, now Sturridge finds it difficult to break into Jurgen Klopp's squad, with a long list of injuries preventing him from getting a run of games. The England striker has been linked with a move to West Ham, and now manager Slaven Bilic has admitted he is a fan of Sturridge.Â
West Ham were linked with Sturridge in the January transfer window, but a move never materialsed. With the twenty seven year old still struggling for game time at Liverpool, and Klopp potentially looking to free up squad places ahead of an overhaul at Anfield, Sturridge may well be leaving Merseyside at the end of the season.Â
Today's Express displays a quote from West Ham manager Slaven Bilic, who admitted his admiration for the former Chelsea and Manchester City striker. "If you go back two or three seasons he was unbelievable. You can still see it when he plays."Â
Sturridge has undoubted talent, which would be very welcome with the West Ham fans. However, with the club already having strikers that are regularly struggling with injuries in Andy Carroll and Diafra Sakho, the Hammers faithful would possibly prefer a signing that will be able to perform and stay fit for them throughout an entire campaign.Â
