Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has made no secret of the fact that he intends to overhaul his squad in the summer, bringing in fresh faces that will help the Anfield club to challenge for the Premier League title. Before that however, the club are in the process of handing out new contracts to some of their key players, with centre back Dejan Lovren the latest to commit his future to Liverpool.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Adam Lallana and Philippe Coutinho have both recently signed new contracts with Liverpool, and now the Merseyside club have completed a new deal with defender Dejan Lovren.

Lovren's new contract will see him extend his stay at Anfield until 2021, with a rumoured weekly wage of £100,000. Speaking after signing the new deal, Lovren said "this is one special day for me and my family. I think I am the happiest guy (in the world) today, it's another dream come true."

One player who is yet to sign a new contract with Liverpool is midfielder Emre Can. Liverpool are hopeful that the German international will stay with the club, but no deal has yet been agreed.
