Harry happy for Avram

Harry happy for Avram

04 February 2008 - 21:15

Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has praised Avram Grant for the way he has taken the reins at Chelsea and continues to help the Stamford Bridge side pick up important results as the Blues remain firmly in the Premiership title race.

  • Chelsea defender on his way to Leeds United?
  • Chelsea ready to hand Nicolas Jackson fresh chance
  • "I'm delighted for what he's done because he is a good guy," the Portsmouth manager said in the Daily Mail.

"He just gets on with it in his own quiet way, he's not a personality like the previous manager.

"Maybe people expect it because it's Chelsea and they've got good players but he has done a terrific job."

"He was put on me in a way and I wasn't happy at the time.

"But I met him and I liked him. He has a wealth of knowledge and has travelled the world watching (Fabio) Capello and (Giovanni) Trapattoni work."
