Manchester City ready to sell Fabian Delph

Fabian Delph's Manchester City career has been held back by injuries

Manchester City ready to sell Fabian Delph

08 June 2017 - 21:50

Manchester City are ready to sell England midfielder Fabian Delph this summer in an attempt to make space for new signings and will look to raise a fee of £12 million for him.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip

  • Despite still being highly rated by many Premier League viewers, Delph has struggled to establish himself as a key player for Manchester City since joining from Aston Villa in 2015.

With three years remaining on his contract, City will be comfortable holding out for the fee that they want, without running the risk of losing him on a free transfer.

West Bromwich Albion and Stoke City have both enquired, according to The Telegraph, with the fellow Premier League clubs showing interest in both a loan and permanent move.

Manchester City are not keen on a loan move and would much rather sell Delph, for a figure in the region of £12 million. The 27-year-old has been held back by a number of injuries in recent years, but with a good run of first team football, could become a great signing for either of those teams.

Manchester City are undergoing a huge overhaul this summer, with Delph the next player set to leave the club, following Willy Caballero, Jesus Navas, Gael Clichy and Bacary Sagna, with other departures expected to come.
