Blackburn boss Mark Hughes has expressed his sadness at losing out on Andre Ooijer for a few games after the Dutchman picked up a hamstring injury at the Emirates last night.
âHeâs been playing excellent, heâs got fantastic experience, heâs played in huge games all across Europe and that experience comes to the fore,â âSparkyâ told the clubâs official website.
âOf late he has probably been our outstanding performer and we are disappointed that it looks like we are going to lose him for a number of weeks now.
âWe hope it is not too bad with Andre, it is obviously going to take a couple of days before we know the full extent of the injury, I would imagine if it is the hamstring again then it is going to be a minimum of three to four weeks.
âBut by the time the game against Bolton comes around Chrissy Samba is available so that softens the blow somewhat.â
