Antonio Conte reacts to Arsenal draw

Chelsea manager Antonio Conte is pleased to have secured a 'good draw' over Arsenal in Sunday's Premier League clash at Stamford Bridge. The English champions laboured to their first-ever home draw under Antonio Conte after they failed to find a way past the Gunners.

  • Mikel Arteta confirms Arsenal star is doubtful to face Chelsea

  • Both sides had opportunities to score, but they eventually settled for a 0-0 draw with David Luiz sent off in the dying minutes for a strong challenge on Sead Kolasinac.

Following the game, Conte was content with a 'good draw' for the Blues while describing every match against the Gunners as always 'tough'.

He told Sky Sports News: "It was a good, open game with both teams trying to win. Every game against Arsenal is always very tough, we knew very well what type of game to face. Both teams are great teams, it's a good draw."

As a result, the Blues were not able to cover ground on the likes of Manchester City and Manchester United, and they will remain in third place with 10 points.

Meanwhile, the Gunners have slipped a position to 12th due to results elsewhere, but they will be pleased to have ended their Stamford Bridge hoodoo.
