Antonio Conte does not fear getting sacked by Chelsea

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has insisted that he is not worried about being sacked despite being under 'a lot of pressure' to please the club's faithful.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • The 48-year-old was on the cusp of suffering a third straight league defeat as the Blues boss before his side came up with a strong performance against Watford in the last quarter of the game.

Chelsea were at one stage trailing 2-1 in the second period, but goals from Michy Batshuayi (two) and Cesar Azpilicueta handed the Blues a comfortable 4-2 win in the end.

A recent report suggested that the players were unhappy with the Italian's way of training, but Conte has stressed that he is unperturbed over the situation.

"I must be honest - I feel a lot of pressure but not this type of pressure. If the club decide to sack me," he told reporters via ESPN. "Honestly I will never be worried for this. Never."

The victory over Watford sees the Blues in fourth place with 16 points, nine adrift of leaders Manchester City, who are atop of the league standings.

Chelsea will now focus on the League Cup fourth round on Wednesday night where they take on Ronald Koeman's Everton from Stamford Bridge.
