Coutinho finally set for a mega money Barca move?

Barcelona hint at January move for Coutinho

24 October 2017 - 09:09

Barcelona could be set to return for a transfer move for Philippe Coutinho of Liverpool. The Brazilian international is amongst a list of three players wanted at the Camp Nou in the January transfer window.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • Barcelona, who are riding high at the top of La Liga this season, had made three offers for the Liverpool midfielder during the summer transfer window, all of which were rejected by Jurgen Klopp's side.

However, it is now understood that Barca could make a fresh 120 million euro bid in January and coach Ernesto Valverde hinted that a deal could still be agreed.

"Coutinho? If we do sign some players in the future, I would like it to be done quietly. We do not want it to be everywhere in the media like last summer," Valverde told reporters last night.

Barcelona are looking to spend some of the money that they received for the sale of Neymar to Paris St Germain last summer.

According to reports, Coutinho is desperate for a move to Barca and hopes that his agent will do his best to force through a move to Spain next year.
