Divock Origi set for permanent Liverpool exit?

Wolfsburg sporting director Olaf Rebbe has admitted that the club will explore the option of turning the loan deal of Liverpool striker Divock Origi into a permanent one next year.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Belgium international secured a temporary move to the Wolves last summer after he slipped below the likes of Roberto Firmino, Daniel Sturridge and Dominic Solanke in the pecking order.

Origi has since been in fine form for the Bundesliga outfit netting three goals in eight appearances including a late equaliser last weekend which secured his side's six successive league draw.

In a report covered by Bild, Rebbe admitted that a long-term agreement is a possibility after hailing the former Lille ace as an extraordinary forward.

He said: "We will chat about what might be next some time before the summer. At 22, Divock's an extraordinary forward. He's exhibiting his talent here right now."

Origi is currently contracted to Liverpool until the summer of 2019, and Jurgen Klopp could be tempted to cash in on his services prior to the summer, where his overall transfer value could depreciate.
