Blackburns defensive woes

Blackburn's defensive woes

22 February 2008 - 22:59

Blackburn boss Mark Hughes has revealed that the club have plenty of injury worries to complain about as central defenders Andre Ooijer and Ryan Nelsen could still be missing for Rovers' match in the Premiership on Sunday against Bolton Wanderers.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • "Andre is still struggling so it would be a surprise if he was involved and obviously we're still struggling with Ryan Nelsen as well," Hughes told the club's official website.

"But it's compensated somewhat because obviously Chrissy Samba is available again after suspension alongside David Dunn and Morten Gamst Pedersen.

"So we've got a few more bodies than we had going into the Arsenal game (two weeks ago) where the guys involved were probably the only ones that I had available.

"We've got a few injuries but we're hoping that some will resolve themselves in the next week or so."
