Manchester United trio being watched by Real Madrid

Europe's elite are already well underway with planning their summer transfer business to make sure that they are prepared for the new season and reports today are suggesting that La Liga giants Real Madrid have been asked to be kept updated on the availability of a trio of Manchester United players.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • David de Gea has been an on-again-off-again target for Real Madrid now for what seems like an eternity and Los Blancos appear keen once more to make the Spanish international their first choice shot-stopper.

The goalkeeper has just over a year remaining on his Manchester United contract, but The Red Devils are hoping to extend that as soon as possible to fend off interest from elsewhere.

Also on that list for Real Madrid is believed to be Paul Pogba and Anthony Martial. Pogba's Old Trafford future has been in doubt recently after a frosty relationship between manager Jose Mourinho and himself has emerged. Both Pogba and Martial may fancy a move to Spain as they attempt to show the ability that they both undoubtedly have.

Gareth Bale, despite some good recent performances, is believed to be at the top of the list of players of which Real Madrid will look to use to tempt United to enter into business with them, although Manchester United may also look to get a new central midfielder out of any deal, with Michael Carrick and Marouane Fellaini departing at the conclusion of this campaign.

United take on bitter rivals Manchester City on Saturday, which if they lose, will see the team from the blue half of Manchester crowned as Premier League champions for the 2017/18 season.
