Chelsea set Alvaro Morata asking price amid Juventus interest

24 April 2018 - 22:58

Chelsea have reportedly placed a price tag on Alvaro Morata's head as they consider the possibility of offloading him during the summer.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • The Spain international has largely struggled in his maiden season in the English top-flight and he has been guilty of missing a number of clear-cut chances.

According to Tuttomercato, the Blues are considering the future of Morata, who has managed just 11 goals in 28 league appearances during the current season.

The 25-year-old has not quite been able to replicate the success of Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge and the club are seemingly willing to offload him for a fee of around £80m in the summer.

No clubs have yet made a formal approach for the Spaniard but it is suggested that Juventus may make an offer, should the Blues be willing to compensate on the player's valuation.

Morata has been playing second fiddle to Olivier Giroud in recent games and this could potentially hamper his chances of making the Spain squad for the summer World Cup.
