Liverpool have reportedly stalled on their pursuit of Lyon captain Nabil Fekir amid concerns over his injury record in the past few seasons. The France international was said to be on the verge of joining the Reds after going through a medical and having an introductory video in the club's shirt.
According to The Telegraph, Jurgen Klopp's side are said to have second thoughts over a £53m deal for Fekir after verifying the player's medical tests over a two day period.
The 2017/18 Champions League finalists have yet to reveal the exact nature of the issue but the concern is significant enough to stall the transfer for the moment.
Fekir was one of Les Gones' standout players during the previous campaign and his tally of 18 goals were crucial to ensuring the club's return to Champions League football next term.
He presently has two years left on his existing deal and reports now suggest that any decision over his future may only be taken following the summer World Cup.
